A few years back, me and a couple of artist friends formed a collective named D.R.Y (Daniel Zhou, Raul Higuera, and Yasmeen Abedifard) with the objective to collaborate and further build up the Bay Area comics scene. In 2024 we debuted D.R.Y vol. 1 which collected 18 different artists from around the Bay Area. The anthology collected prose, comics, and illustrations and felt like a beautiful representation of the amazing art scene in our communities. Lastly I edited a video to announce its release which captured the energy of what I hope to be the first volume of many more to come.
